Being the product of the world's cutest couple puts a lot of pressure on Riley Matthew's shoulders. She can't help but feel as if she's being held to some ridiculous standard, as if everybody's watching. Everything has to be perfect. She has to be perfect. Her parents tell her stories of when they were younger, how they fell in love and took on the world together. So young, so many dreams, so many expectations, and looking for love in all the wrong places. In this story, Riley Matthews meets the modern world and learns that when life doesn't offer you what you deserve, you dream it up. But what happens when she lets her mind run wild? ☼☼☼☼☼ All of the ships I'm tagging are hypothetical, because I haven't decided which ones will be platonic and which ones will be romantic. I'm also not sure how ship-driven this story will be because I'm planning a lot of things for her character, but we'll just have to see. This will probably end up becoming a riarkle fic eventually, though, because they're extremely adorable, but nothing is set in stone.

Seventh grade, eighth grade, ninth grade. Maya Hart and Lucas Friar was an item. Riley Matthews and Lucas Friar undeniable connection. What was Lucas doing with Maya? Riley and Lucas have an undeniable connection but Lucas is dating Maya. At a party Zay asks out Riley. She says yes. Having the undeniable connection make Riley and Lucas fall in love with each other even more. Smackle and Farkle realize Riley's and Lucas' connection and tries to make them realize that they like each other and not Maya and Zay. But Maya has a thing with Josh, which Riley and Lucas don't know about. Sometimes they are keepers. Sometimes they will tear you away from your own happiness. Love is like standing in the middle of a subway.

Background: Lucas Friar comes from a rich family with houses all over the world. His parents are always traveling, He used to travel with them, but finally talked them into letting him stay in The Big Apple with his new friends, Riley Matthews and Farkle Minkus. Farkle's father is richer than everyone else in New York because he is a majorly known scientist. His parents are still married, but his mother is usually out of the country with her own business, which no one, even Farkle, really knows what that is. Riley, well she doesn't come from a rich family, but they are financially sound and live in a nice house. Her father is one of the History teachers at the kids school, Monroe High School, and her mother is a well known lawyer, that is also the recently new owner of 'Topanga's', the kids hang out. Lucas and Riley are not dating, but everyone in their grade knows they are a thing, including Maya Hart, the 'new girl'. Maya isn't technically the new girl anymore, she came to the school in the middle of the 8th grade, and today is the first day of 9th grade, the first day of high school, for all of them. Maya, unlike the trio of friends, comes from a practically poor family. And by family, that means her mother and her. She pretty much lives alone because her mom has three jobs to keep the small house they have and to put food on the table each night. Maya has liked Lucas since she first looked at him, and then even more when she learned that he had an amazing personality, but he would never talk to her, he had Riley.
