The now orphaned Nai and Kuvira gain the pity and attention of Suyin Beifong. After discovering Kuviras prodigy level bending they are taken to Zaofu. However as they grow up Nai is cast into the shadows, she isn't like the other non-benders there, she doesn't have an academic gift. She's jealous of Kuvira, but shes also secretly in love with her. But when she finally gets the courage, Kuvira announces that she's dating Baatar jr. Follow Nai on her journey to find her own light.
