The Galactic Federation now has to deal with widespread violence while also dealing with a large scale army of violence loving aliens and worshippers known as the Shadow Covenant who is said to be led by the Dark Shadow, a mystic being of unknown power who is a rival of the Light Spirit. The only question remains: Will this lead to civil war?

Aries-2 had been with Cayde, and was with him on the mission to the Prison of Elders with him, held him as the light in his eyes faded. Months later, the remaining vanguard hasn't seen or heard from her since she swore revenge on Uldren. Now, she's back.

The last thing Red remembers is dying, then he's awake and running away from Fallen and finds himself at the Tower where he's assigned to a patrolling team that gets why in over their heads and falls into a much bigger situation.
