Olympus was attacked by the darkness. All the gods died trying to defend themselves. Even Zeus was powerless. The Olympians died and a new God came. The Traveler. With his light he created the Guardians. Dead people were reborn as guardians and with Traveler's light they go against the darkness. But darkness is really powerful and the Traveler needs help. So, he creates a special ghost. A ghost looking like the others but far more powerful. A ghost which is fated to reborn a God. Artemis, one of the most powerful Olympians, daughter of Zeus and Lyto, big Apollo's twin sister, Goddess of the Hunt is reborn by that ghost. They both know nothing about their powers, their past or their destiny. Artemis, like all the Guardians, forgets her past. She doesn't hate men and she remembers nothing about her virginity vow. With the other gods dead, this oath means nothing. The gunslinger slowly walked towards the two. The woman was dark of face, with black and gold robes and a band with brandished a logo of sorts. The man next to her was of the Awoken race. His face was blue and showed no emotion. He was clad in red armour that looked tattered and worn. "Excuse me, yeah hello, you there! Citizen Cain in the straight jacket. Who are you?" asked the friendly gunslinger. The man went to speak but, fearing what he might say, the woman spoke before him. "I am Ikora Rey and that," she paused for a moment and examined the man, almost unsure of her being with him, "that is Zavala". The gunslinger laughed. "Ah well if you think our names are silly what do they call you?" queried Ikora. The gunslinger looked down and his metal turned from glowing orange to red. Finally he blubbered, "Cayde-6". Ikora gave a large grin. Zavala kept a stern expression and said nothing. "Walk with us, Cayde. We have much to discuss"...

Aries-2 had been with Cayde, and was with him on the mission to the Prison of Elders with him, held him as the light in his eyes faded. Months later, the remaining vanguard hasn't seen or heard from her since she swore revenge on Uldren. Now, she's back.

Based off of Destiny the video game, these short journal entries are to be the origins of my guardian before the collapse. How did I come to be outside the cosmodrome that fateful day? And why did the ghost choose me as his guardian? Let's find out together.

You were supposed to be living in apartments like normal guardians, but you refused and now you live in a dark mysterious forest in the middle of nowhere. During a time of vast suffering and terrible evil, many survivors formed colonies in the wilderness in a desperate attempt to live. Humanity was on the brink of extinction but out of it, the Traveler sent out Ghosts to look for their Guardians to protect the last of mankind. However, some of the earliest Guardians chose not to protect the world, but subjugate it, becoming Warlords. One of the many famous Warlords was Lord Shaxx, who worked to protect the civilians within his care instead of vanquishing them. Guinevere Bradshaw was one of the many last survivors and just like them, she was ghostless. Shaxx found her in the woods, injured and trying to fend off some Fallen. The Warlord took her in and gave her an opportunity to prove her loyalty to him by working in his palace.

Legends are carved across history by the brave. On a routine bounty mission from the Spider in Old Chicago, Hunter Greyson Ryder of the Last City expected a simple mission: hunt down the target, eliminate the target, get out and get paid. The same thing he's been doing for the past three quarters of a century. Nothing was supposed to go wrong, and nothing could go wrong. But when the arrival of a certain princess from another world interrupts a perfect shot, he's forced to question fate and embark on a journey to find her a way home while unraveling secrets hidden from all.
