This short lecture marks an opening of a series of works about Obsessions and their analysis within the framework of the Church of Madness. This one is about how religion, as an Obsession, can bring to Ascension or Insanity.

Majority of this story takes place three years after 'The Fight For Fire'. Zealot, Blinded by rage, heads out to find the Ghostrider. After he drags her into a new dimension, Zealot must figure out exactly how to get out of it and face what awaits her in her own dimension.

Looking for safety and answers across a smashed and frozen country, a war they were never meant to see leads to a frantic struggle just to stay alive. Kane, driven to make sense of the shattered world around him, strives to keep those around him safe as they face not only those other survivors who wish them harm, but enemies known when the world was young but long dismissed as myth. Already scrabbling for survival in a world scoured, dark, and freezing they find themselves unwittingly caught in the middle of bloody war and chaos.

I love all things Edgar Allan Poe, so when I first read The Tell-Tale Heart, I wanted to write my own tale told from the murderer's point of view. The only way I could make my own story work is if I write my own way - not copy, no homages. And, of course, get to a frame of mind to become a madman -- religious-zealot-misogynistic-first-kill-crazy-madman head (or what I think it is like). So, this is it. The First Jewish-Roman War (A.D. 66-73) retold in a novel feeling.
