Zelia doesn't exactly have the perfect life everyone thought she had. She didn't have loving parents that care for her, no, her parents fought every night and her dad gets drunk afterward. Zelia has to take care of her younger brother every night, while they are fighting. The only people who can help her get through a time like that was her five best friends and her almost five year boyfriend. Drake, almost went through the same thing but only worst as a child, so of course he knew how to help Zelia and comforted her. What happens when a unlikely accident happened, leaving Zelia nothing? Will Zelia listen to Drake?

Zelia wasn't the type Luke went after. He preferred popular, blonde, wild. Zelia was the opposite. New, brown haired, mysterious. She made him feel different. He changed when he was around her. He was himself. Not the Luke everyone else saw him as. Soon enough, he realized that Zelia has a past that's not pretty. And future too.

Have you ever woken up from your sleep and smelled nothing but smoke? I have and it stings. It doesn't let you breath . It hurts, but even in pain you try and escape. I tried but didn't succeed. I looked for an exit. It was on fire. There was fire everywhere, and my family was no where in site. I screamed, cried, prayed, and no one came. I start to cough out of control. My lungs get tighter. I can't breath. My eyes start to sting from the smoke. I'm stuck in the corner of my room with the fire feet away all around. All that comes to my brain is ' I'm Gonna Die'. I start to cry and pray to God to help. Even though I know he can't. I close my eyes and embrace my self for the pain I'm about to receive. My cry turn louder and painful. I covered my face with my hands and the fire start burning my hands. I scream in pain. The pain is hard to explain, but we've all been burned once. We've all been curious kids once. Imagine that pain you felt, but not being able to stop it.

I was being hunted. They were coming to kill me and anyone who got in their way. No one knows exactly who they are hence why we either call them THEY or THEM. I didn't choose to be their next victim. I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. When Zelia met One Direction she knew she couldn't hang around. They were in danger as long as she was near but when she falls for one of the members suddenly staying away is a lot harder than she originally thought.

Lila Everstien was kidnapped when she was 12 and she finally escaped four years later. With the help of Harvey Cook she regains her health and embarks to try and find her family.
