This was not what Zenitsu expected. He originally took part in the Kamado Royal family's tournament to prove his Gramps and himself that he wasn't useless, that he properly knew how to use his breathing technique. However, he came to learn, a bit too late, that the prize wasn't exactly a trophy or money, but a marriage to one of the members of the royal family: Tanjiro Kamado. Tanjiro had always been in online schooling and stayed home, only every sitting on his balcony for fresh air. He had his sister and his mom, but that was it. His sister went to school and clubs, and his mom ran a bakery day in day out, so he was always alone. Isolated. He decided to go online and make friends, feeling lonely for once. Maybe he could try going out, but it scared him. It all scared him to the core.

He didn't really come to say anything in particular, so he just keeps quiet. Leaving the both of them in a comforting silence. One he's been needing for a while. Zenitsu closes his eyes and listens to Tanjiro's sound, his heartbeat was low and pumping quietly. His sound was peaceful, almost vulnerable. Which isn't how he's usually like. Still, it was something more than that. He couldn't place his finger on it, but it was a beautiful sound. . . . A different world where they're in love. Deeply in love, yet hesitant and confused. (this story using the same title too is on Ao3 if you prefer that format more!)

A young teen boy named Zenitsu was scared as he had to go onto a mission all by himself. He was sitting on the side of the road and rolling Back and fourth sobbing into his knees Until a special someone spotted him and walked up. No in this story Zenitsu isn't a simp, only for Tanjiro😏

It all started with a bloody mission. Emperor Masahi convoked his adoptive son, Zenitsu Agatsuma, to conclude a deal: in exchange for a scholastic education with the best scientists from the country, the blond must kill Tanjiro Kamado, Imperial prince of the Butterfly Region. Blinded by the prospect of being freed from his adoptive father, the blond accepts and becomes an exile in a region he doesn't know, with an unfeasible mission on his shoulders. However, hope knocks at his door: the prince orders Zenitsu to become his personal healer to keep an eye on him, believing that the blond is here to assassinate his sister instead. Henceforth, what was once supposed to be a perfect crime gradually turns into a game of poker, becoming more and more dangerous as their relationship grows into something deeper.
