"Hello, dove." A deep familiar voice said. Zephora felt her palms go sweaty and her heart beat faster. Only one person called her that. Turning slowly, she saw Rafi standing behind her. "Did you think you had lost me for good? I have to admit you are clever. I'm learning very quickly not to underestimate you." He said with a smirk, as he moved closer. "I had things to do. I'm not about stay glued to your side." Zephora said with a roll of her eyes. "What do you want Rafi? Why are you here?"... ..."You've been a busy girl, haven't you?" His question was more of a statement. Rafi gazed at her intently for a moment and then slowly a smirk spread across his face. "I'd recognize your scent anywhere." He answered her last question first. " And, I'm here to collect." Zephora looked at him in confusion. "To collect my favor. You do owe me a favor If I remember correctly." After narrowly escaping a terrible fate at the hands of the vampire that killed her parents, Zephora finds herself in circumstances that have sent her on a different path than her friends. Zephora learns more about her connection with vampire hunters and who her father really was; while Pixie and Hudson continue to search for the dragon crystals with the help of their new aquaintance, Captain Runa. Amelie and Leo find themselves on the run from Micklaus who is still intent on her capture. To make matters worse a vengeful Tatiana, who blames Amelie for Severo's death, is intent on revenge. All the while, Amelie is haunted with dreams as memories of her past begin to surface.
