Zevran thought it would be best if the elvish Grey Warden killed him. But she didn't. She surprised him, by sparing his life. He surprised himself...by falling in love. Jego zadanie jest proste: ma przygotować zasadzkę, pozbyć się strażników i z uszami pełnymi wieści z Fereldenu (a sakiewką ciężką od błyszczących, złotych monet) wrócić do Antivy. Niestety, każda kolejna pogłoska o Cousland coraz silniej utwierdza Kruka w przekonaniu, że tego jednego zabójstwa nigdy nie zdoła sobie wybaczyć.
