A story that plays in ancient china and is about the upbringing of two boys that end up in high ranking positions in the imperial palace because of dumb luck and a little bit of skill. They will have to navigate the fragile empire's rules whilst also trying to manage the complicated feelings that have happened in the past. Ziyou Yi, who is in direct line of becoming the next Emperor meets Zhi Cheng who is going to take the state exam and is working on becoming an advisor to the emperor in the future.
