Zhuyu Stories

The drama tells the story of Fan Changyu, a butcher's daughter, and Xie Zheng, a fallen marquis, who are fated to meet in a snowstorm. She, orphaned, is determined to become the head of her own household; he, living under an assumed name, seeks revenge for a blood feud from 17 years ago. Each with their own agenda, they enter a marriage of convenience that slowly turns into true love. What begins as mutual exploitation blossoms into genuine affection, but that love soon brings bloody warfare, forcing the lovers apart. Wielding her butcher's knife, Fan Changyu marches onto the battlefield in search of her family, her husband, and justice. Xie Zheng reclaims his identity as the iron-blooded marquis, fighting to defend his country, his love, and the truth. Finally, they reunite on the battlefield, fighting side by side without fear of death; exposing the truth without bowing to power; and returning home without forgetting their original resolve.
