In a small town with no hope is where our story begins. Everyone leaves and goes seeking adventure, never looking back. Well, all except for Rosalie King. Alone and unmotivated, she says behind and works in a neglected bakery day in and day out trying to scrape together savings to finally abandon the town that never cared for her. Zinnia is a wolf who befriended a coyote named Dusty at a desert area near the interstate roads not too far from the forest she lives. But her pack members dislike how she is friends with a coyote. The alpha, Coal, is rude and strict, telling the pack members that it's bad, that coyotes are a sin. But Zinnia disagrees. If Coal finds out that Zinnia and Dusty see each other again, it's time for Zinnia to no longer be part of the pack... but maybe he's right, because Dusty could be hiding something sinister after all...

Zinnia is going to Skeena Middle School for the first time, and right now, it's not turning out so well as she expected. With Seirra The Popular and Brad the cute, she is cought in a troublesome mess.

Brendan Birch was an ordinary Trainer. He's the son of Prof. Birch, he already gotten his starter, and he has done research. So, when his new neighbor, the daughter of Petalburg's new Gym Leader and his father's best friend Norman Haruka, May Haruka, moved in, he was excited to finally have someone his own age to talk to. Shortly afterwards, Brendan began his journey across the Hoenn Region, collecting data, Gym Badges and Contest Ribbons on the way. However, Team Aqua and Team Magma are planning on waking up Kyogre and Groudon to bring their plans to fruition. Brendan is the only one who can stop their plans.
