What they didn't have: a clue just how intense, chaotic, and breathtakingly beautiful life with a curious, strong-willed, and far-too-early-developing baby could be. Between teething struggles and late-night cuddles on the couch, between tantrums, spit-up disasters, and first words, they learn that parenting isn't about getting everything right - it's about showing up. Always. Even when puréed carrots are flying across the kitchen, or when you're panic-Googling at 3 a.m. whether too much smiling is a medical symptom.
