"Bruce, Bruce Wayne, right?" I snapped at him.
"Uh, yes, yes." He replied sheepishly.
"Hi, yeah, can I help you with something?"
"I'm sorry?" he replied
"The staring? You haven't noticed you have been looking at me for fifteen minutes?" I said with slight laughter.
"I was, I uh, I apologise." He cleared his throat mid-sentence, changing his raspy voice to one of a slightly higher octave.
I narrowed my eyes at him, tilting my head and looking him up and down, he seemed familiar. It may have been from Iceberg, my nights there did tend to blend into a cacophony of playboys, big spenders, and other 'VIPS'. But Bruce seemed far too awkward to be an Iceberg regular.
"Oh shit I know you! Have we met? I definitely recognise you.". I quizzed him.
His eyes widened even more, and he looked around him like he was trying to hide from something.
SPOILERS FOR 'THE BATMAN'
A short story, surrounding and building on the events of 'The Batman' dir Matt Reeves (2022). Specifically, the funeral scene. The photo attached (in the fic itself) was leaked, showing Selina Kyle (Zoë Kravitz) at the funeral, a shot which was not in the final film at all. This story imagines what it would be like if she actually was in attendance, and more, how her interaction with Bruce Wayne (Robert Pattinson) could have gone.
