She never showed how much it hurt. How the men insisted they could show her what it was like-how it felt-to be a woman. And it isn't until she stumbles upon a wide open farm field with a single woman dressed in trousers, suspenders and all, with sleeves rolled to the elbow working at the dirt that she's seen someone like her.
