just another fanfic but with musical characters going on a road trip compatition. idk how imma do this, but get ready for musical references by the dozen! musicals included: DEH BMC Hamilton Heathers Hadestown lightning theif musical and stuff. if my brain decides to let me watch the stuff on my tbw list i might add to the characters so ya enjoy!

Life's normal for Evan Hansen. Until a dream. A dream caused by utter darkness. It's like he's in another world. A really fucked up one, at that. A hellish town. Hellish residents. Even hellish trees for god's sake. Relief washes over him as he wakes. But then he gets it again. And again. And again. Until he starts to bond with the shady characters from his demonic dreams. They become greater friends than anyone he's ever known in real life. Though bad influences, they care about him. One more than the others. A little too much at that. "Haha demon boy's gay for the small human."

Prince Evan Hansen has not had the fantastic life expected for royalty. His father, the king left for another woman in another country, leaving Evan and his mom, the queen, to rule the kingdom of Arbor. While Arbor may not be the richest kingdom around, over the past few years of Queen Heidi's rule it's flourished into a beautiful and strong region, doing particularly well in the lumber industry. But Heidi can't rule forever, and Evan, being the only son, is the heir to the throne. Which means it's time for him to get married. Now, Evan hasn't been seen much in public life due to his severe anxiety, but arrangements have been made for him to marry Princess Zoe Murphy from the neighboring kingdom of Lac. Lac is a VERY rich country, so a marriage alliance is important to the Arbor's economy. Zoe and her older brother, Prince Connor, will be coming over for a month before the wedding. But there's one problem. Evan sees the Murphy siblings arrive and falls in love at first sight. With Connor. (DISCONTINUED BECAUSE ITS CRINGEY AND I'M TRASH AT WRITING)

Evan and Connor have been best friends ever since kindergarten Connor knows evan so trans and respects him for it . His parents don't know and Zoe knows but always gets his pronouns wrong by accident. Evan feels like he isn't him and is a mistake but Connor and heidi i so that isn't true they love him . Connor and Evan are crushing on each other and can't wait or tell the other how they feel .

When Connor is introduced to squips, he never looks back. Two years later, he's being used as a pawn to put more people under its curse. If there's something Zoe, Evan, Jared, and Alana share in common, it's wanting to belong. Wanting to feel okay- wanting to be comfortable in their own image. When Connor offers some of them the opportunity, they don't look back, either.
