A college student goes to the circus that her school is hosting and finds a familiar looking machine that grants wishes. After the falls to fate, Fire Rock is awake but half empty - souls still trapped in the Scepter in the Other World. A mysterious flying dragon leaves scales that burn the word "ZOLTAR" for Wizard/Merlin. Zoltar isn't a place - he flies around in the Dragon Lair, a giant dragon mecha not just a ship but a fighting robot stance. Mid-book he lands as a friend to Emmi and Wizard to help when Dark Lord makes a monster giant sized to crush the town.
