After the singularity, Ashley finds out her pregnancy will last a long while. The vampire side of her makes it where the child won't age as quickly as a normal vampire that was born. It even makes the pregnancy last longer. Barry, ignoring everyone, has taken a sad tole on Ashley Snow. Depression, immortality, and cutting. Never a good combo. Seeing Barry at work helped, a little bit. He still ignores her, they only talk business, and Ashley respects that. Ashley doesn't even have a baby bump after six months, so yeah.

This war requires special forces from factions such as The Syndicate of the Weird and The Mystery Men; Science-heroes. They fight valiantly although many casualties result from the Sorceress' merciless attacks. Finally, having survived the battle, The Syndicate of The Weird, just got weirder. In an attempt to deflect one of the Sorceress' malevolent transformation spells from hitting a fellow Syndicate member, Zanzibar the Magician finds himself victim; altered - into a woman. In an era when homosexuality and androgyny are not only frowned upon but also penalised, Zanzibar must come to grips with this life-changing conversion. Not only that but will his powers be affected as well? Improved or impoverished? Can he find a way to reverse the spell? And how will the collaboration with fellow science-heroes fare from now on?
