1979. The story begins in California. An 8-year-old Maxine meets Cassian, though he's a mysterious figure, the two become friends. Yet his arrival is met with his swift disappearance from her life. Little did the two know that they'd meet up in Hawkins once more in 1984, and one hell of a reunion it will be. The first couple chapters are short and might feel slow but give it a chance for me to get back into the feel of this as I haven't written anything in a while... and cringe a lot at my own work... be kind please and enjoy. Who she has to help, and choose a path that would either protect the ones she loves or destroy everything, because she has a deadly secret. And Will? Let's just say that he was wrong about not falling in love.

This story is based on parts of Stranger Things. Please read before you read the story! In this story: It's set in 1986 (season 4) Max Mayfield and her family joined Hawkins this year. Nobody died (yet). Max doesn't know about the upside down and Eleven her powers (yet). Hopper never went to Russia. The family Byers never moved to California. It's based on stranger things, but not exactly the same. There are lot's of made up things in this story so don't compare it to the series. Hope you enjoy the story!
