Jay is a normal human being until she wakes up... well... not human. She soon finds out that she is now a shiny Smeargle. One thing: She hates the Pokémon! In a world ravaged by war started by a wicked hydreigon, the pokemon have been split into three groups - Outcasts, Heretics and Darkness. What unfolds next is a roller-coaster of events that throw our heroes right into the epic battle between good and evil. Each Pokemon is special and unique, but only a few truly stay in our party and hearts and become our best friends. A wild Zorua someday wonders about humans and their being ways, never even seeing one in her life. After a fight with her crush who disrespected her, she ran away from him and the forest she lived in. She ended up doing what she was planning to do in the first place, which was venturing out into the human world and explore. She might possibly have to take shapes of other Pokemon along the way of her journey, not wanting other Pokemon and people to see her as usual. The vixen may even decide to take form of a human... Soon, she stumbled upon a knucklehead trainer named Spice. During that time, she was trying her best to keep her secret. Can she keep it for long?

Jenna lives with her overbearing (and overprotective) grandfather. Years ago, her parents disappeared without a trace. While walking in the woods one day, she comes across an injured Zorua. After overcoming the shock of being able to understand what Zorua is saying, she takes it to her grandmother for treatment. After Zorua heals, villainous Pokémon attack her grandmother; she tells Jenna to take Zorua and run. Jenna can't go home because of her grandfather's rule about no Pokémon, other than the staff's Pokémon, so she and Zorua hide in the woods. Since Zorua can change its form, Jenna teaches it how to hide in plain sight as a human. As well as how to read and write and use sign language, plus light and Morse code. Jenna quickly learns that Zorua is not from her world but another one where only Pokémon live. Soon, she's reunited with the villain who caused her family's disappearance, and who was behind the attack on her grandmother. Will she run, or get revenge? *FYI: Some of these chapters are long. And to those of you who are hoping Darkrai is the bad guy, that is NOT the case here.*
