Sokka and Zuko become closer and closer until they become too close. They don't know how to handle their emotions and pent up feelings for each other but they don't know how the others would react either. When Just a note Zuko is 16 in the series and Sokka is 16 at the end of the series and beginning of the comics they are both 17! They are both of consenting age!

Zuko lay staring at the ceiling while Sokka lay peacefully beside him. Is this real? Zuko thought. He heard Sokka moan softly in his sleep and felt him turn over to face him. Sokka's arm draped over Zuko and his whole body tensed. I have to get out of here. Or Zuko doesn't think he's good enough for Sokka.

Takes place maybe 5-6 years after ATLA arc. Aged up. Edit: Zuko doesn't have the best people skills, or leadership skills to be honest. But guess who does? It may take some time for him to realize it, but Zuko enlists Sokka to help with another redemption arc for the Fire Nation. Working together, learning together, loving toge- who said anything about that?! Wait, are there feeling here? Feelings can't get in the way of the mission...world peace is at stake! Zuko threw up his arms in aggravation. "I don't know what I'm doing!?" He slumped down onto the foot of Sokka's bed, holding his face in his hands. Confused at the candor of his former rival, he lifted a hand to pat his shoulder. One tap...a hesitation, then a couple more taps, "That's rough, Buddy." I suck at descriptions I'm sorry, just read the story and find out but uh This is modernized so don't be weirded out also there's no war and no ones tryna capture the avatar cuz that was gonna be hard to write lmao This is kinda a true story I lived so if u have a problem with it then take it up with my life... Sokka and zuko have had relations in the past. Due to insecurities and complexity of their feelings they decided to end the relationship. Some months go by and sokka is arriving back from his trip. Will those hidden feelings he has for zuko come back or will they stay hidden.
