Takes place maybe 5-6 years after ATLA arc. Aged up. Edit: Zuko doesn't have the best people skills, or leadership skills to be honest. But guess who does? It may take some time for him to realize it, but Zuko enlists Sokka to help with another redemption arc for the Fire Nation. Working together, learning together, loving toge- who said anything about that?! Wait, are there feeling here? Feelings can't get in the way of the mission...world peace is at stake! (Also, how I want to envision the bridge between ALTA and LoK to be established. All it takes is some gayyy) "It's the meeting with the other nations. They all think I have all the answers!" Zuko threw up his arms in aggravation. "I don't know what I'm doing!?" He slumped down onto the foot of Sokka's bed, holding his face in his hands. Confused at the candor of his former rival, he lifted a hand to pat his shoulder. One tap...a hesitation, then a couple more taps, "That's rough, Buddy." Zuko lay staring at the ceiling while Sokka lay peacefully beside him. Is this real? Zuko thought. He heard Sokka moan softly in his sleep and felt him turn over to face him. Sokka's arm draped over Zuko and his whole body tensed. I have to get out of here. Or Zuko doesn't think he's good enough for Sokka.

Nothing before that point was changed. So this is a fanfic from my AO3. It's still a WIP but there are hardly any Zukka fics on this site that I just wanted to share mine. Zuko has given up all hopes from restoring his honor ,and he decides to start a quiet life with h̶i̶s̶ our Uncle Iroh at Ba Sing Se. Little do they know, the gAang was also residing at Ba Sing Se for that time, and Zuko has an unfortunate run-in with some of the at the Jasmine Dragon. wHaT wIlL hApPeN nExT?!1 Note: This story is very canon divergent, for one, Zuko's honor is restored by himself wayyy earlier and also in the first chapter(s), Zuko didn't join the gAang yet.

Sokka puts his infatuation with Zuko down to frustration and anger as he travels alongside Aang and his sister. Zuko equally believes that his desire to face Sokka is so he can dominate him.
