His rebellious acts against his own nation is around the time "the painted lady" or also known as Katara was helping out the poor, polluted fishing village on the fire nation; that desperately needed her help... Inspired by Chinese Drama Truth or Dare or 花好月又圆 / The flowers are blooming and the moon is full Katara Daughter of the Water Tribe is put into an arranged marriage with Prince Zuko of the Fire Nation. Neither said No but neither were exactly happy. Zuko didn't particularly care and Katara understood her duty but it didn't stop her from yearning after the masked hero who saved her life.

What if Zuko convinced Azula that what she's doing is wrong, being feared and powerful can only destroy her from the inside. Only to run as their only option, to run from the fire nation, fearing their fathers wrath of betrayal. But one day they run into a old woman who promised them safety and shelter... Hama. Don't trust her. She loathes fire benders and being the prince and princess of the fire nation, the old woman holds them hostage in a dungeon with other prisoners but they get far more worst... When the gaang meets Hama, will they save all of the prisoners? What then?

Aang didn't manage to get back Katara's necklace from Zuko. He hates it. He wanted Katara happy. He wanted Katara. But things don't look good for him in the romance department. Katara doesn't seem interested most of the time. Whenever Aang manages to have a mildly romantic moment with her, she comes back to mom friend attitude straight after. He doesn't lose hope though. As Sokka said, the key part to hold another person interested is to act like you don't care. Maybe that's what Katara is doing? Zuko still has the necklace. He keeps it a secret from everybody, even uncle Iroh. He holds on to it whenever things go bad for him. He thinks about it nonstop, he's paranoid that someone might find it. Although he likes keeping the necklace to himself, he wants to return it to the rightful owner. When she stops hating him, maybe? Meanwhile Katara sticks to not wearing any necklace. Although from time to time Aang tries to give her another one, she never accepts them. She doesn't like the reason why her little brother is constantly trying to give her a substitute for the necklace she lost. Because from time to time, she still thinks about her old necklace and the person who is currenlty owning it.

Fire. Water. Earth. Air. The world is finally at peace after the fall of Fire Lord Ozai. Nations are rejoicing and people are happy again. Team Avatar had gone through ups and downs, while growing up together. Their friendships are stronger than ever. And there's little to no doubt that they will remain the best of friends for the rest of their lives. To start off, I don't have anything against the original story, like how Aang ended up with Katara. In fact, I am a huge fan of the series and watched all four seasons of Legend of Korra! I'm making this because I am curious what things would be like in a different perspective, since Bryan and Michael once said their original plan was for Zuko and Katara to be together. Background: Katara and her brother, Sokka, are from the Water Tribe. They found and saved Aang and Appa. Aang finds out about the current war with the Fire Nation and that he is the last Airbender. Their journey began with a trip to the Northern Water Tribe in hopes for Katara and Aang to learn Waterbending. During this journey, they meet the crowned prince of the Fire Nation, Zuko. He is interested in Aang's return, for he believes capturing the Avatar will restore his honor. After traveling to the Northern Water Tribe, their next destination was the Earth Kingdom to find Aang an Earthbending teacher. Their search brought them to Toph Beifong, who is a blind prodigy Earthbender. She desired independence from her upper-class family. Finally, she decided to travel with the group and teach Aang Earthbending. As they devise a plan to take down Fire Lord Ozai and end the war, they encounter many obstacles from Zuko and Azula, his Firebending prodigy sister. However, how does it feel when one's love interest is the opposite of you? Fire and water. This story will reveal the unrequited love and struggles Zuko and Katara must face to realize their true feelings. The narration will begin with Zuko. *Zutara fanfiction Zutara forever! After the 100-year-war ended Team avatar had a new adventure. Azula escaped from prison and does whatever it takes to stop team avatar. But Hakoda is in trouble, and when they come to help him. They discover a HUGE secret. And there's this mysterious man. Oh, I almost forgot. Katara and Zuko kissed and Aang is very mad. NOTE: this is fanfiction so it's not official. When Aang was shot down and claimed to be dead... Another had fallen and was also claimed dead, accept he was really dead. Prince zuko. When the gaang finds out the tragic death of the prince of the fire nations murder they almost seem to feel it's unreal, the boy that have hunted them will never bother them again... They all feel different about it, guilt, confused, even the thought of zuko not deserving it, but also anger yet relief... That's until one of them runs into the blue spirit and finds out a dark secret that only one other knows of. "Zuko?"
