Werewolves were feared by both human and Faunus because the Ultima was the first werewolf to ever exist and had wiped out another species of werewolf, the silvered backed werewolves. One day the silvered eyed warriors waged war against the Ultima and his followers killing all werewolves expect the Ultima survived the onslaught and went into hiding. Years later Y/n is born as the next Ultima along with being the son of a silvered eyed warrior becoming the first silvered backed werewolf in a long time.
