Dorothy-Ann, better known as Dot, is a normal college student. If you call being an unlicensed superhero and the protector of New York normal.

In a world of super people, EPs, there are a select few that go on to defend the vulnerable. Some work legally, as licensed EPs that work with law enforcement. Some, unable to work in law enforcement due to mental illness, missed qualifications, or an unwillingness to cooperate, become Renegades, unlicensed EPs. They work in the dead of night, defending people who are incapable of seeking help or those unable to be helped.

Despite all the good Renegades can do, they can cause a great deal of harm to those they mean to protect. Sometimes they mess up. Sometimes they cause devastating things to happen. This is the story of one mess up.

WATTYS 2022 SHORTLISTER!!! ★━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━★ 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝? ★━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━★ Born in a world where people are segregated based on their abilities, twenty-six-year-old Veera Solace lives her life in the small country of Liquiord as the minority group - the disabled; or the differents, as the people like to call her. With an anonymous president and hostile community, Veera relishes her moonlit activities as Void, the shadow villain. Emotionally terrorizing her victims in hopes that they change their ways, Veera lives by burying her feelings and being what society wants her to be - teacher by day, vigilante, or villain, as the world calls her - by night. But with every villain, there's a hero and the hero to Veera's villain persona calls himself Spotlight. Their battles could rival the squabbling of a newly married couple, yet both Void and Spotlight are nothing near being a couple. They're strangers, enemies - people on different sides of the law. That changes, though, when a picture with no context is released to the public, sparking a worldwide debate about the relationship between Void and Spotlight. And as if that wasn't bad enough, there's a new hero in town - Infinite. To Void, he's nothing more than another nuisance, but to Spotlight, he's a mystery; an enemy. When havoc falls onto the city and eerily corresponds with Infinite's arrival, Spotlight, and Void have to put all feelings aside to solve the mystery that digs so deep in the past that they may never recover from it. ~*~ Featured on @antiherosgalore "Wicked Women": 12/19/22 Featured on @crime "Like a Woman": 5/28/23 Featured on @superheroes "Anti-Heroes and Awesome Antagoni

I didn't mean to fall in love with my brother's best friend. Kingsley Pierce has been my enemy since he befriended my twin brother in first grade. Who constantly tugged my pigtails at nap time in second grade? Kingsley. Who was to blame in fifth grade when an entire bottle of glitter glue just happened to pour onto my head? Kingsley. What about ninth grade (the first go around) when a full tray of beans appeared onto my seat just as I was sitting down? You guessed it: Kingsley Freaking Pierce. The man in question and I have been at each other's throats since we both realized only one of us could be my brother's favorite, and I have been determined to win. That is, until I started fighting a bigger fight. Four years ago, the government announced the presence of Enhanced individuals. People across the country started gaining what can only be described as super powers. There are the Generics (like my brother and me) who have heightened senses, strength, flying - basic stuff really. Then, there are the Advanced. The Advanced have unique and powerful abilities - like being able to control spiders or the elements. My brother refuses to acknowledge his powers, instead insisting he can live a normal life. I, on the other hand, partnered with the government to rise up as Tri-City's hero when the last one disappeared only two years ago. Despite being all by myself, I've put away more Advanced supers than I want to count - never losing a fight. My undefeated streak comes to a screeching halt when a new super appears out of nowhere. Crimson Current. He is wreaking havoc on the city with powers I've never seen - powers I can't compete with. So, why am I so twisted up about Kingsley Pierce when I have a hell of a lot more to deal with? I honestly have no idea. But can I just say, I am shocked.
