A legend has passed across the world since the beginning of time, that those who complete the Trials of Stone shall attain the power of the three Lords of Stone: Sindile of Obsidian, Zaman of Granite, and Adio-Baha of Marble. Now a new challenger approaches; a man who lost his family to the passing of war. Fueled by an undying revenge, he believes himself ready to face the challenges, but the true nature of the Trials is beyond what he could have possibly imagined. He will not stop, but he may not survive to see his family avenged. I wrote this story out of necessity. Before Trials of Stone I had developed and started many grand story concepts but had yet to finish a single one. Therefore, as the summer vacation approached it's end, my father presented me with a challenge. "Son," he said, "finish a story before the school year begins or I won't pay for your college tuition." Naturally, this was plenty of incentive for me to get my act together. Not wanting to go off of any of my previous ideas for fear that I would once again get caught up in the details and not be able to finish it, I did a random drawing to help myself come up with a new idea. This drawing turned into the Granite Lord Zaman, and from it I came up with the idea for Trials of Stone, for all intensive purposes my first completed story. If you like the story, remember to vote, share, and especially to comment. As someone still developing their writing skills, constructive criticism is welcome and encouraged!
