Earth has been taken over and the human race doesn't really exist. There are traces of them in us but ultimately there is not one pure human left. This didn't happen overnight and I assure you that we didn't just kill them all for no reason. Well...we actually didn't kill them off at all but I can't explain that right now. None of the Young Ones (ones that are 18 or younger) are supposed to know anything about the past, but there are some that have, what They like to call, woken up. These people are hunted by Them; most can't escape this fate, but there is a few who do. So I guess They do have something to fear about the wokens because the ones who have broken free of whatever was placed upon them are much more powerful when given the opportunity to be able to grow. There have been some who were able to manipulate others minds without any detection. Sadly all known people with this gift die very young or collapse into a psychotic breakdown. My story began the moment I had the genetic liquid injected into my system.
