Everyone has heard of the story. After the Knights betrayed the system, were executed for their crimes, and were forgotten to time, evil began to rise one more, even in the absence of the Divilamu. So the highest sorcerers and elites opened a permanent bridge to another world, known as the great Summoning, and brought with it, champions from an unknown dimension, blessed with incredible powers. They took the task of defending the land from the darkness, and creatures that tainted the light, and issued a new era of peace. More powerful than any other race, they quickly became the ruling class. Now they rule behind any government, hunting and destroying threats. With a wide range of abilities, they saw no resistance. They were called Aldaraians. Jack is a simple farmer, living in the comfy town of Rorin. Like 90% of the population, he is a normal human. He does not mind, as he had a loving wife and daughter. A daughter who dreams of joining the ranks of Aldaraians. Then Jack comes home and finds his family dead. He devolves into despair, and then, clear thought, and rage. People he trusted neglected their duty to protect. Jack makes a twisted journey of revenge, making a few acquaintances along the way, he will take them down, by whatever means necessary. He knows deep down he will not survive, but he just wants to give them a scar, so they never forget him. How would you feel? If you were nothing? If gods from another dimension roamed, and did whatever they pleased. The old gods are nowhere to be found? The only gods are the ones that you see everyday? And most importantly, where is the line drawn, between Good and evil? Join Jack on this dark take on the implications of isekai. Will he get his revenge, or will he die, and life will stay the same as he rots in his grave?

A THOUSAND YEARS AGO, MAGIC VANISHED FROM THE KINGDOM OF ILLVONYA. Now, it's been returning, and just in time to cause a whole lot of trouble for the Thieves' Guild of Archport--like they didn't have enough to deal with, working with the Raven Associates to smuggle slaves out of Evaren (a neighboring nation), keeping their reputation as a group of fearless criminals, and keeping their identities a secret. There's just one thing that no one knows: it's a group of teenagers. With unforeseen complications arising and a country that seems to be teetering on the edge of chaos, it's all they can do to keep their heads above the water. But when Sam begins to develop abilities after coming into contact with an ancient artifact and the people with abilities, or the Tainted, start to be grabbed in night raids and thrown in jail or up for public executions, they know it's only a matter of time before they are forced to become more involved. Little do they know the full extent of what's coming... With a goddess-given mission and the fight of their lives close approaching, can these rag-tag heroes pull themselves together in time to save the kingdom and themselves? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey everyone! This is a high-fantasy novel with a good dash of humor, so please check it out!! This is also my NaNoWriMo project, so frequent updates (at least in November 2015).
Chronicles of the Reluctant Sovereign by LuminisLyceum
12 parts Ongoing
In a world governed by cosmic Balance, where ancient forces clash and hidden realms flourish, Ishaan is an enigma-a man of immense power who desires nothing more than a life of quiet solitude. Having mastered the enigmatic Balance Paths, he seeks peace in the farthest corners of the world, avoiding the chaos of ambition and human entanglements. But fate has other plans. Trouble has a way of finding Ishaan. Whether it's rogue Balance Path practitioners, relentless assassins, or meddlesome rulers, conflict seems to erupt wherever he goes. Ishaan prefers to solve his problems in the most efficient, no-fuss manner possible, yet his actions often leave shockwaves that disrupt the entire world. To him, people are amusingly chaotic and frequently annoying-something he tolerates only when absolutely necessary. However, his calm and detached approach to life is constantly tested as strange events unfold. Dark secrets resurface, cosmic mysteries grow deeper, and an elusive force seems intent on pulling him into the grand schemes of fate. Despite his best efforts to avoid the spotlight, Ishaan unwittingly becomes the pivot of a turbulent, action-packed saga filled with hilarious missteps, absurd misunderstandings, and jaw-dropping battles. From breathtaking duels to awkward moments with quirky allies, from unraveling ancient conspiracies to dismissing overzealous enemies, Ishaan navigates the chaos with a mix of unflappable composure and dry humor. His journey is not about becoming the strongest or achieving greatness-he's already there. It's about staying out of the madness, even as the universe conspires to drag him right into the heart of it.

Estelle Beaumont just wanted a peaceful hike on her last day of vacation. Instead, one ill-starred moment of curiosity leaves her miraculously stranded in the fictional world of Prythian--a faerie realm full of ruthless court drama, rampant misogyny, and enough deadly magic to keep anyone up at night. Armed with foreknowledge that's only helpful when it isn't actively trying to get her killed, Estelle quickly discovers that living through the story of ACOTAR is far less fun and far more perilous when it's her own basic-ass, untrained mortal life on the line. Her plan is simple: keep her hands off of the plot and survive long enough to find a way back to the family and love she left behind. But the so-called "Mother" clearly has other plans for Estelle, forcing her to confront an unsettling truth--that her role here in Prythian might be far greater than that of a passive observer. As Estelle reluctantly abandons her original plan, uneasy alliances form, old wounds reopen, and fractured trust begins to mend. Love, loss, and scars of the past converge as Estelle slowly starts to see that the family she thought she'd lost might take a new shape, and that the life she left behind might be the only reason she's prepared for the fight ahead. But the cost of shaping Prythian's future--and her own--might be greater than she can bear. After all, it's a future that was never meant to be hers to begin with. And this is all that damned Cauldron's fault... ☆⊱──────⊰ ☽✧☾ ⊱──────⊰☆ A/N: Warning: This fanfiction is purely self-indulgent, with long-winded introspection and a major, major slowburn romance. Read at your own risk lol. Also if you don't like self-insert/iseki like tropes were an original character who read the books ends up in the fictional world as the new main character, you might want to skip this. Somethings will stay very familiar, others will diverge completely, and I plan to add extra world building along the way.
