Stuck. That's how Athena felt in her life. Stuck with no light at the end of the tunnel. Athena's friends were her only outlet in the shitty town she was in. But once they left for the day, she was back to the darkness. A world full of abuse, and drugs, along with a debt she was forced to pay back on behalf of her dad.
Athena grew up from a young age drilling into her mind that she didn't have a mother. She left her and her father at a young age, never returning. When an accident occurs leaving Athena with no blood related family close by she finds out that she does have a mother. Except she's across the world, Forcing Athena to leave the only life she knows, and her friends that brought the slightest bit of light into her dark life.
The darkness is consuming. It doesn't just disappear. It festers, and grows, until everything is gone. Athena is stuck in another world now, far different from before. A new family that she has no intention of getting close to, a new school, and new people throwing themselves her way. It's better from how she was living but the darkness still consumes her day by day.
A dark haired boy with bright blue eyes barges his way into her life. Seeming to always be around, she can see that he shares her darkness, but this boy welcomes it with open arms instead of trying to push it away.
