Lyric is a wolf.
A wolf shifter to be exact.
On the island of Mac, there are four clans, East Clan, West Clan, North Clan and South Clan... And then there's Middle. Middle is the space between the clans, the space inhabitated by rogues.
Insane shifters belonging to no clan or pack, they are aggressive. Not safe.
And then there's Lyric.

To those on the outside, May Winters appears to be nothing more than a completely normal seventeen year old. She has a loving mother, an overprotective father and not forgetting her annoying, big brother. Every night I hear their howls, the howls of my pack drifting through the wind, finding its way through the dense forest, through the animals scurrying along the forest bed and straight to my ears. I could sit for hours just listening to them communicate with each other, its my favorite kind of music because it reminds me of my family, it reminds me of home.
