"It makes me want to scream."

Lauralynn Marcotte use to be normal. She use to go to school each day, got above average grades and got voted as homecoming queen for two years in a row. She was popular, yet she didn't let it get to her head, she was the perfect image of a strong woman- even most freshmen looked up to her. 

Everything changed one day when she starts hearing voices. They're floating around in her mind, whispering things that don't add up. They varied each day, ranging from crazy to completely sane. 

Things just seem to get worse for her part. The once once whispers turn into screams that never seem to quieten and she slowly felt herself become insane. And things can only get darker. She starts turning up at murder scenes and worst of all- she starts wailing at the most random times, as if she had seen death herself. It isn't long before she's classified as the town loony. 

That is until a group of supernatural strangers comes to ask her for help. If she did agree to their aid, she could find out all the secrets behind her cursed abilities and who she really is. Nothing really seems sound in the town for too long and it's just a matter of time. Something is about to strike them, something they're far from prepared for.

The young shadowhunter Aleksa Monteverde, called Leksi, finds herself in the academy in Idris after her parabatai Annabeth Kingsmill was killed by a demon. She gets to know the kind Blake Pangborn with whom she gets along pretty well and they immediately become friends. But next to Blake there is a mysterious boy named Elijah Blackthorn who seems to hate everything and everybody. Stuck between a friend and a love interest, Aleksa is confronted with even greater problems. The Council brings the charge against her, that she wasn't present, when Annabeth Kingsmill died. They blame Aleksa for her death. While Aleksa tries everything to get over the loss of her parabatai and to get back to the institute in Montreal, she has to struggle with the Council and them wanting her to visit the City of Bones until the hearing. But her new won friends help her and Aleksa soon finds out the real reason she was held out of the investigations considering Annabeth's death and sent to Idris. The story takes place in an imagined academy, mentioned in the TMI books by Cassie. Since I love academies I had to write about a story happening here. But the story also sets in various places over the world and reunites some familiar places from the TMI books with new impressions. New characters are introduced and also some old and well-known characters will appear during the happenings.

I can hear your heart racing, I can feel your breathing, I can smell your body responding like it's never experienced these sensations before," he whispered, sliding a finger just underneath the band. "Should I answer its call?" #1 in demons on 6/15 -6/17/20! Again on 6/20 and 6/22-6/23! Sweet and innocent Katherine has a routine and is a little tightly wound. She was simply trying to rehearse lines for an audition. And he's getting pissed off she won't give him a name so he can kill and go home.
