Alina is sold by her destitute father to a man he calls a monster. Unbelieving, she follows his directions to an enchanted castle where she soon finds out that there is more beast than man behind the beautiful, nameless face of her captor.

When she realizes that the entire castle is under a wicked curse that causes them to shift into beasts every night of the full moon, Alina becomes determined to break the spell cast upon the occupants.
