Mountain and/or Sea Crests ... I just wanted to write something capturing the good old times feel set in a present day realistic fiction. I want it to feel cliche but like a cliche capturing real life. Sort of like throwing stuff that happens in a real life into a fairytale. I don't want to lose the fairytale feel though. Anybody tell me if they think it doesn't feel fairytale-ish. And maybe ideas about what would make it feel more fairytale/nostalgia farm town country story.
I feel bad about describing characters because then the characters have a farm - but some explanation of characters is necessary. How much is too much. I don't want any superfluous - unnecessary explanation.

In this dystopian world, you can see, via hologram, the last time someone cried. There are people who use this to manipulate and antagonize others. Anna is the center of our story. She's a 16 year old girl who has under gone much heartache due to the dystopian setting. She has made a promise to her older brother, Drew, while he was on his death bed, to protect their younger siblings- a promise she hopes she doesn't break. She is very tough, but fear is a constant no matter who you are. In the story, fear is ruling her; the fear that she's failing Drew. If she, her family, and her neighbors were not in this setting, she'd be perfectly happy. But she can't be happy now, not with everything that's going on.Complete
