Working With Red

Pamela Isley returns to Arkham Asylum after her young-adult daughter (Y/N) refuses to play a part in Poison Ivy's schemes. With the chance to finally take her life into her own hands, (Y/N) seeks help from Batman, who places her across the country in the trusted care of Oliver Queen. Bypassing the reluctance of his hotheaded protégé Roy Harper, (Y/N) is given her own alias and welcomed into their group with less-than-open arms.

Under Green Arrow's tutelage, (Y/N) trains hard and seeks to impress her mentors by proving she's capable of success despite lacking metahuman genes. However, difficulty conforming to a vigilante lifestyle has the Justice League breathing down her neck. She also faces a forced partnership and onslaught of hatred from Roy, who refuses to trust (Y/N) because of her familial ties. As if to make things worse, a new group of supervillain metahumans arises in Star City and threatens to terrorize the country. Their presence births a danger Team Arrow has to way of preparing for, though they seem to be the only ones who can stop it.

Numerous events begin overwhelming (Y/N) until her life suddenly changes again--and she doesn't know whether or not it's for the better. She must find a way to convince everyone her true identity poses no threat and that she's capable of more than living in Ivy's shadow. Amidst all else, (Y/N) struggles to handle an unexpected love square she's been dragged into by her tsundere partner, an old friend with drool-worthy looks and personality, and a smitten psychopath.
