Yuuri Katsuki, an aspiring veterinarian in vet school in Russia, is a perfectionist; he has always lived his life striving for perfection, and cannot bare to live his life any other way. 

But one chilly December, he bumps into a fellow named Viktor Nikiforov. Viktor, on the other hand, is practically the opposite of Yuuri, him being described as the airy type by most. 

After their sudden encounter, Yuuri discovers that Viktor is the owner of a pet shelter called A Friend Until the End. 

With the help of their friends, will their shared love of animals bring them together, or will their personalities drift them apart?

I ship OtaYuri both romantically and platonically, and I don't really have a preference, but seeing as very few fanfics give importance to platonic love, I thought that I would write one that did. If there's one take away from Yuri on Ice, it's that love is a valuable and precious thing that takes place in many forms. This story is off of one of my headcanons that Yuri and Otabek are both asexual and aromantic, and their friendship goes from being very small to being a qpr (a queer/quasi platonic relationship, which is like dating, except without any romantic aspects, and in this case, without sexual aspects as well). Yuri!!! On Ice Book 2 by Sophie_skates_reads

This is officially the sequel to Yuri!!! On Ice Book 1, but you don't have to had read that one to understand this one. This book carries an Otayuri-based plot and holds no carry-over from the first-- at least, nothing a reader wouldn't be able to understand. Taking place in 2017, this book follows the pair through several years of their lives, encountering obstacles and growing closer all the while.
