"Six weeks until summer, thats all. I can do this." For teenager Maya Todd summer was a casual affair. She'd end up with her mother and brothers in Cromer Massachusetts spending most of her days either on the beach or walking around town. Now she wasn't the only kid from Alcombey Michigan, she was just one of the few that stayed all summer. unbeknownst to her she would be getting a job this summer. Which in turn ruins her plans of lazying around and trying to and a color to her pale winter skin, but also brings to light old and new friends, hurt feelings from long ago when the treehouse stood in the tall red wood that was in her back yard before it was ripped out of the ground and tossed eventually being thrown in the ocean along with Maya's feelings about the treehouse.

Completed✔️ Disclaimer: I wrote this when I was 15 so it is a bit cliché, and many mistakes in the story:) All Brooklyn's life, she's been more of a boy than a girl. She's only ever lived with her single dad and her three older brothers, which means she was bound to grow up more like them. So, when she moved all the way from New York to Tennessee, it wasn't much of a surprise until she met Alex, the one of many popular boys at the high school. Until she realized that Alex decided to make her life a living hell. Well, that's what Brooklyn thought, at least... ___ "He leaned in and put a hand behind my head to kiss me, leaving me frozen and speechless. Almost instinctively, after a moment of processing, I stood on my tippy toes and replaced my fingers in his hair, my other hand on his neck. Butterflies exploded in my stomach, replacing my hunger for food, as he pressed me against a vacant wall. Without a word, he lifted me up while my legs wrapped around his waist, leaning in closer to him, even after there was no more space to fill."
