In a land where magic has been forgotten but peace has reigned for centuries, a deadly unrest is simmering. Three kingdoms grapple for power—brutally transforming their subjects' lives in the process. Amidst betrayals, bargains, and battles, four young people find their fates forever intertwined:

Cleo: A princess raised in luxury must embark on a rough and treacherous journey into enemy territory in search of a magic long thought extinct.

Jonas: Enraged at injustice, a rebel lashes out against the forces of oppression that have kept his country impoverished—and finds himself the leader of a people's revolution centuries in the making.

Lucia: A girl adopted at birth into a royal family discovers the truth about her past—and the supernatural legacy she is destined to wield.

Magnus: Bred for aggression and trained to conquer, a firstborn son begins to realize that the heart can be more lethal than the sword. . . .

The only outcome that's certain is that kingdoms will fall. Who will emerge triumphant when all they know has collapsed?

[From the stories of Azuden0, Volume 2. Pride, the Enlightenment. Chapter 1, Birth of Magecraft] Prologue: Khiel, an uprising novel writer, known for writing fantasy love stories, especially boy's love. Readers clung to his tales, enchanted by the vivid worlds, the palpable yearning between characters, and the depth of emotion that ran through every page. The titles were acclaimed. The plots, genius. The themes? Unforgettable. But the endings? They shattered hearts, no matter how beautiful the beginning. Khiel's stories always ended in ruin. His characters always end in tragedy. The love always fell. Not once had the main characters escaped fate. The tragedy was not just the theme, it was his fingerprint. No matter the cries for happiness, no matter the pleading letters from readers begging for mercy. His characters were doomed. They earned him the name "The Heartbreak King of Fantasy". Then came the latest book, their breaking point. A massive number of readers across the continent rose in uproar. Demanding a change, they seek a good ending, an ending where all the sacrifices and hardship that the main lead SHOULD be rewarded. He tried to deny their protest, protect his pride, his art. But stories have teeth. His newest tale turned on him. And what would you do if you, yourself, had been transported to that story? Would you dare rewrite the story to save yourself, or let the story proceed to what it was? And what if you dare not change it, and your life could be at risk? Would you dare stay idle and watch that world unfold into the chaos you, yourself, created? ©Azuden0 All Rights Reserved Book cover done in Canva, photos from Pinterest. For centuries, a family of Sorcerers and Sorceress' had kept the island hidden from the eyes of the others to ensure that no one would know their existence and to keep all residents safe from the eyes of hungry predators. But then, a tragedy shook the Kingdom when a massive earthquake has stricken; taking all of them off guard. Many lives were lost in this tragedy, but the one that had been affected the most was the family of Sorcerer's and Sorceress', the Duarte's, which had been reduced to one. Emilia Duarte, being the only remaining Sorceress, had been continued the legacy of her family and continued to keep the island hidden from the outsiders. Then, the news broke that an outsider was able to enter the island when the magic that had kept it hidden was taken down when the Duarte's had died. All were wary as none knew what people on the outside were like, all they knew was that they are hungry for power and wealth and would not hesitate to bring them down if they knew of their hidden wealth in the Kingdom. So when the outsider had made her presence known in the Kingdom, no one wanted to come near her even when she was offering a hand to help the residents restore their homes, shops, and other establishment, that is until an old lady didn't have a choice because everyone was busy rebuilding their lives and could not assist her to rebuild her home. So she accepted the help of the outsider and everyone was shocked by the risk that the old lady took. All of them were able to witness how the outsider had single-handedly rebuilt the home of the old lady. Soon, everyone was asking favors from her and the news had reached the palace.

Selena Ashford's life was nothing but a monotonous shell-until one fateful morning, she wakes up as Seraphina Ashenveil, the villainess of the very fantasy romance she despises: Whispers of Hearts. Known for its twisted plots and the inevitable death of its villainess, Selena's new life is a nightmare. Ugh.. Why this stupid book!? As Seraphina, she is surrounded by two figures who mark her doom: her ruthless father, Aldric Ashenveil, and the male lead, Caius Valerian, whose cold indifference promises only betrayal. But fate throws her an unexpected twist-she crosses paths with Killian Valmond, the second male lead, a fiercely loyal and annoyingly arrogant knight who dies in a most pathetic yet stupid way for the female lead. Tsk, Cliché. But he is not leaving her side. He sticks with her like she's something which either needs to be guarded or protected. She can't tell which. Stupid Man. Seeking refuge, Seraphina hides in a small village, where the kind-hearted locals accept her without asking questions. Despite her growing frustrations with Killian's persistent presence, she begins to question everything she thought she knew about her new reality. Something is off-no one seems to be playing by the rules of the story, and the characters seem eerily alive, drifting away from their roles as if the book itself was a mere myth. Or Maybe.. Is it? Slowly, Selena uncovers unsettling truths that suggest her life, the worlds, everything might be a lie. As the lines between fiction and reality blur, Seraphina must decide if she can carve her own path to survival or if she's destined for a fate far worse than the book ever predicted.
