The year is 1412. Princess Avalon is the total opposite of princess. She grew up with 8 brothers and 2 sisters, a father, mother, her ever-so-favorite horse Étoile, and 3 hunting dogs. Rather than sewing, she'd prefer sword fighting. Her mother, Queen Adrianna, definitely does not approve. She's all about "proper posture, etiquette, and being ladylike," which is the stuff she wants her daughter to be. But who knew that all that non-princess stuff would come in handy. One day, a curse falls upon Princess Avalon's kingdom. A curse from 500 years ago. It's up to her to stop it before her kingdom falls into peril, well, more than it already has. So, her and her best friends, Jack, a merman and Sarah, an amateur witch will have to save the kingdom....before it's to late.

Avalon Isn't What It Used To Be
My mother says my endless curiosity and my need to venture is a curse. Though, I know she only says that because I'm just like my father; who went out to curb his appetite for new experiences and never came home. Do I feel abandoned? No. How could I? Not when I fully understand the craving... Fae almost never leave Avalon. It's rare, and normally Fae that leave Avalon are forced into exile. Hardly ever do they leave voluntarily.
