And the so called hero...
Condoning the very act
He would condemn
Transgressions of the past
Shape actions to come
As offspring turns into adversary
Yesterday's loss...lead to madness
And god becomes tyrant
Becomes outcast
Becomes dust
As factions dissolve
And form
And lust for power
Enslaves all
Such foley
And futility
In the grand design
Curious, how lines
Once clearly defined
Become...blurred

No one sees Batman without a mask except Alfred. Batman is darker, already slightly twisted in the head - he's spent his whole life, fighting people like the Joker, people who don't deserve his pity. So he doesn't give then them any. He holds grudges even beyond the memory of others. Weakness
It was an inside joke. Each of the 'batfam' had a weakness. No one - not even Alfred - knew Batman's. Damian's was easy; Damian's was the heat. Couldn't stand it; he got way too hot way too quickly. Tim's was the dark. Was never found asleep without either a light on or the door open with a light on outside. Jason's was water. He couldn't hold his breath and had panic attacks when he had prolonged contact; say he was in a pool. Dick had two; cold and poison. He froze in twelve degrees (C) and never left the house with a jacket on. And the poison traveled at least three times as fast through his bloodstream as he didn't clot easily. Alfred had one too; as impossible as it seems. His was his age; he was nimble, yes, quick, yes, agile, yes, but occasionally his limbs cramped, or he had trouble breathing. ---Ⓜ️ for blood, gore etc, and bad language! ---Complete

Forty years later a new hero appears, bearing a scarily familiar power, he'll endure many burdens in a bid to learn more about himself and those he works with in this corrupt society where heroes are revered as gods among men and all logic is replaced with propaganda. A threat from within their own walls threatens to tear humanity apart from the shadows, the heroes will need to overcome both the monsters beyond their walls and threats from their own people in order to prevail, humanity's fate will soon be at hand, will it be salvation or oblivion?
