Iwaizumi Hajime is a world renowned painter who goes by the pen name of Ace Fauster. His paintings and sculptures alike are beautiful and meticulous, each color paired perfectly with another. His latest works, however, aren't...erm...up to par.

He takes it upon himself to find a solution to this problem. One of his close friends, Mattsun, suggests that he finds a companion. Iwaizumi thinks it might work, but he doesn't want a relationship, and he doesn't want to go out and find friends either. So, he posts an ad asking for someone his age, to simply sit and talk with him while he works.

That's not too much to ask. Right?

Oikawa Tooru is a poor young adult with no job. He's living in a funky smelling shack, and he's dangerously close to being evicted. But he's got a serious case of clumsiness, making job hunting seem impossible.

Until one day, he comes across an ad. It seemed perfect, no hard labor, good pay, free housing, and the 1975 is the shit!

Nothing can go wrong, right?
