After the conquest of Malaya in 1942 the Japanese invaded Sumatra and quickly took the island. A party of about eighty Dutch women and children were collected in the vicinity of Padang. The local Japanese commander was reluctant to assume responsibility for the these women and to solve his problems, marched them out his area ; so began a trek all round Sumatra which lasted for two and a half years. At the end of this vast journey less than thirty of them were still alive.

Maharlikan Empire Rises

16 parts Ongoing

In a university, 12 Filipino students embark on a project that ends in tragedy. Reincarnated in a treacherous world plagued by racism and danger, they must unite to survive. Blessed with unique skills and immortality, they face royalty, powerful foes, and ancient secrets. Can they overcome the odds and forge a new reality, the Maharlika Republic/Empire? Inspired by Filipino culture, this epic fantasy explores unity, strength, and the unyielding spirit of 12 students reborn. This is fictional. I dont have anything to do with the history and culture of the Philippines represented by my own imagination (even though I'm Filipino).
