17 year old Luke Waldom lives at Sunshine and Rainbows orphanage, which isn't all sunshine and rainbows at all. Everyone there is abused, orphans can't leave, even to go to the school, and they're pretty much slaves for the owners of Sunshine and Rainbows. There are even rations, which are hilariously low, so many children look like they survived a famine.
But one day, Patrick Smith, the one man who makes Luke happy, loses a bet with the entire Z House. He is forced to adopt a child, and, Luke got lucky. In this crazy new life Luke struggles through, he finds thing of such great magnitude, he realizes what his past has made him.
However, someone wants to break the same promise that was sworn to be kept, will the will of Pat and Luke break...
