After enduring unspeakable torture, Dean escapes from Hell, rescued by an all-powerful creature he's never seen before: an Angel. This warrior of God recruits Sam, Veronica and Dean in Heaven's battle against Hell, amid whispers that a certain Fallen Angel will soon be freed from his prison deep in Hell: Lucifer. 

If Sam, Lily, Isaac, Veronica and Dean can't stop it - if Lucifer walks free - he'll bring on the Apocalypse. 

The death of Rachel Winchester (née Singer) took its toll on every single one of the hunters. Unlike with Dean, they had no clue on where to start with trying to bring her back and struggled deeply with dealing with her death. 

The five hunters are introduced to two new characters that couldn't be more different

Castiel. The Angel. The one that raised Dean from perdition, and believes he deservs to be saved

Blair. The demon. The one that can't pick a side, so she makes her own. However, will she ever learn that she's going to need someone's help sooner or later?

Veronica and Sam have been drifting apart since their older brother died. Veronica has been avoiding fellow hunters and spending her time with Ruby, getting stronger and stronger in order to defeat Lilith, but nobody knows how.

All the while, the ultimate war draws them into it's horror. 

Caught between Heaven and Hell, between God and the Devil, the Winchesters and the Harvelle's must battle for the future of humankind.

Can they somehow make it through all of this and win the war?

Plot: Avis Ward is one of the last of her kind, a demigod. After being imprisoned in a secret organization for the past 7 years, she meets the Winchesters and Castiel.
