“Again, this is the last day to enter to meet your favorite bands like Allstar Weekend, 5 Seconds of Summer, Big Time Rush, The Wanted, Emblem3 and One Direction!” I quote the commercial blaring from the living room TV. I can hear it all the way in my room across the house.
My sister is probably fawning over the same pictures and videos of the boys commenting on the new singing competition ‘Remake’. I’ll bet anything that she’s sitting with her butt on her heels, completely transfixed on the TV screen right now. “I think it’s not… going to be like any other singing competition in the world.” I quote at the same time Niall Horan says it on the commercial.
I hear her squeal. Niall is her favorite.
I groan. That commercial has been playing non-stop since the beginning of August, and its October now. I have more important things going on in my life than listening to a stupid commercial on replay. Like, oh I don’t know, MIDTERMS!! Those things are not nice! The only thing redeemable about that commercial is that they also feature The Wanted. I mean, those guys are the bomb! Especially Nate. He’s so cute! It’s a shame is voice is whacked up right now… and who the heck are Emblem3 and 5 Seconds of Summer?
And what’s up with every new band having freaking numbers in their names? That’s so dumb!
“To enter, you must be a female between the ages of sixteen and eighteen, and you must send your audition tape to the email address to my left. Remember, the audition tape must not last longer than two minutes, and it must be sent to this address to my left. Any other video, not fitting this criteria, will not be viewed and you will not get the confirmation email from us. With that being said, have fun making your audition tapes, girls!” He gives the camera a cheesy grin and then the TV is silent.
