UNDER THE SURFACE (Love conversation writing contest)

About 2000 words of dialogue only.

What is Love? We must all have our own definition for it. To me, loving someone is just a shorter way to say that you trust, respect and cherish them. That you thrive in their happiness and suffer when they do. And that you're confident they feel the same way about you. Can you imagine having to say all of that instead of just I love you?
That applies to all kinds of love (with the exception of a parent's love) but throw in physical attraction and you've got yourself romantic Love. The one we most often mean when we talk about love but perhaps the most fickle one. The most elusive. The one we read, talk, dream and write about.
So here I am, writing about it, in my round about funny kind of way that I have (I think!).
