During the age of the great Chinese dynasties and the construction of the Great Wall, Caia, the daughter of the great General Fey, takes up her father's place in the emperor's army, working her way up the ranks as one of the most renown women generals in ancient folklore. 

Her journey, beginning as a defiant young woman of the countryside, leads her to every corner of China, and eventually to the unfortified Northern border, where she finds her greatest battle. It is here that she secures herself as a legendary warrior shrouded in magic and victory, alongside a Roman mercenary.
