"I heard all about your little bet, Andy
so whats it gonna be? You gonna screw the broken girl and finish the bet? Or are you going to pretend to care, draw out the fun just a little bit longer? You know what, just fuck me and get it over with Andy. After tonight, I want nothing to do with you. Don't talk to me, look at me or so much as breathe in my direction. Whatever this was to you, its over." By the end of her rant, tear tracks gleamed on her high cheek bones and trailed down her face.
The only way to describe her was savage beauty, and despite her anger and disappointment in him, it took his breath away with the force of a sucker punch.
Andy's mind raced to come up with an excuse only to come to a halt when he realized she wouldn't believe him if he told her anything but the truth.
"Kris, I care about you, so much. And yes, it started out as a prank, a bet. I never expected to fall in love with you, but I did. I don't expect you to believe or forgive me, I'll leave you alone. Forever. Just remember that if you
ever need me, or just want someone to yell at, call me and I will drop everything to be by your side. I love you, Kris."
His voice cracked as he said my name and it took everything I had not to give in then and there. Instead I looked away from him and clenched my jaw to keep the tears at bay.
He sighed and nodded his head in defeat. Then he walked away, and he left me, heart torn to pieces in the middle of a dollar store parking lot.
"You're different from what I expected," she said softly.
"How so?" he asked, glancing at her.
"I don't know," she replied, searching for the right words. "You just... have this way of making people feel like they matter. Even here, in this... nightmare."
He was quiet for a moment before responding. "You matter, Y/n. Don't forget that."
