It's a story that only I, Alissa Lauren Kiang, can tell the truth about. This story is something that I had to experience with four of my best friends, people who had been there for each other for all of my life, through all of my ups and downs. While I had to go through hardships, they were always with me. They knew everything about me, and I, them. We were with each other through everything we ever had to deal with. There was a group of five friends among which one of them died, hit by a truck. Her name was Sasha. It was claimed as an accident however the rest of the friend group is thrown into distress as they realized that one of them killed her by pushing Sasha in front of the truck. Soon the police realizes that it was not an accident but murder and in fact the rest of the friend group are their main suspect. They questioned all four of them and it looked like one of them really is the killer until the unthinkable happened....

Raven Zheng is definitely not crazy. At least - that's what she tells herself. It's hard to believe that when no one else can see what you see. You see, Raven can see the dead. Ghosts, if you will. They're people who died, just looking for closure and a way to move on from this life. When Raven meets Cade Woods, she's surprised to find a person who understand what she's going through, at least a little bit. He doesn't see the dead, per se, but he's seen enough death in his life to see her point of view. And then the first body is found. Soon enough, Raven is catapulted into Cade's world. There seems to be a serial killer in town, one who has connections to Cade and his father that makes him a suspect in the murders, and Raven has no way to know whether or not he can be trusted at all, given his past and his suspicious parentage. But as the body count climbs, Raven and Cade realize that they might be the only ones with the knowledge to stop the killer, even if they have to embrace their past to do it.

Against her better judgment, she teams up with a young police officer and together they set out to discover the truth of Sally's disappearance. Now the killer has set his sights on her. It becomes a race to see if she can find the truth before the serial killer finds her.
