When I face him again, Ashton is smiling. He leans back slowly in his seat, resting his folded hands on his stomach. "This is gonna be fun." I narrow my eyes at him. "What's gonna be fun?" "Winning you over." I have to bite back the vomit that fights to exit through my mouth. "Excuse me?" "It's a challenge now." "Nobody challenged you to anything." "I have challenged myself." Scott's vision is fuzzy. Hazy. Unfocused like it hasn't been since the LASIK. He vaguely wonders why, but his head hurts so much he's distracted and can't figure it out. He thinks for a second that he's drunk. That he's given himself the mother of all hangovers. But his shoulder and his arm and his chest and his side and his leg also hurt-shit, his shoulder really hurts-and he's never been drunk enough for that to happen before. Plus, if he's not mistaken, that's his steering wheel in front of him, through the haze and the dust and the noise and the red and whatever the deflated white thing is. Regardless of how drunk he's been, he would never be drunk in the driver's seat of his car. Fuck. Fuck, he hurts. This is a depressing fanfiction about Ashton Irwin and an original female character. Hey, I'm Maya and this is my first time putting any of my writing online. It feels pretty strange considering how personal this story is, and before you start reading there's a few things I want to clarify. 1. Yes, I used my own name for the main character. Why? Because I'm shit at coming up with names. 2. This story starts around the time Youngblood was released, and for a while the timelines and everything actually add up (the dates used in the story actually match where the boys were at the time).
