Everyone around Elena Gilbert seems to have their life on the right track - established careers, loving partners, a life to love living. However Elena does not feel the same. All she feels is a giant hole in her life that, no matter how hard she tries, has never been able to be fill. For her, it has always felt like something, or someone is missing. But when she meets a dark, brooding man, by the name of Damon Salvatore, she felt a undeniable spark within her, and a feeling that could possibly fill the spot of emptiness within her. But it wouldn't be as easy as a spark - their story would be treacherous, soul-destroying at times, but most of all, reckless.
