Queen of Hearts

'What are you doing here?'
Akkida stared at the man standing in front of her; her heart was pounding hard and fast. A Million thoughts rushed through her mind.
'I cannot stop thinking about you Akkida. A day has passed since I last saw you and I am already losing my mind! You've become important to me like the air is to this world... I can't live without you.'
Akkida stared at him frozen. Her mind was blank and her heart almost pierced her chest.
'I am unconditionally, irresistibly...severely in love with you!'-he said taking a few steps closer.
She felt weak on her knees and could barely stand and breathe. He stood in front of her and looked deeply into her eyes.
'You've become the reason for me to wake up. And I know that you love me. I just want you to say those words!'
Akkida looked at him with tears in her eyes; she wanted to confess her love for him more than anything but knew she couldn't. Even if she did they could never be in each other's lives.

'Akkida please say something...' - without hesitation, she flung her hand as hard as she could and slapped him across his face. A stinging pain spread through her palm making her grip it. She looked at his eyes and her entire body stiffed of the pain she caused him, he held his cheek and looked at her with an ashamed look in his eyes. Guilt rushed through her veins and she looked down at his lips. They were so tempting.
A swirl of emotions confused her; lust and desire... everything unknown to her.
