Lexi Cross is shy and quiet girl of West Point High. Her mother died four years ago, she was suffering from cancer. Since then Lexi was alone with her dad and he is persistent that Lexi should become a doctor too. But she doesn’t want to. She hates hospitals since her mother died and she’ll never change her mind. Her father does not take no for an answer so she must work as nurse in nearest public hospital and finish her junior year. Lexi hates her job but her friends in the hospital make it enduring.
One day the ambulance drove a seventeen year old boy in critical state. Fight for his life was long but he made it. She was dedicated to him as his private nurse to take care of him while he’s in coma. She recognized him the second she saw him and she was shocked.
His name is Emery Andrews and he’s schools all time player and bad boy. He was always cheerful, happy, kinky and sarcastic. He was always full of life. She never hated him although she found his snide remarks annoying yet it always brought smile to her face. Her life without him would be boring.
But now he’s here, lying in coma, looking so vulnerable and innocent, so peaceful and it hurts her to see him like that. She cried a lot thinking how could something like this happen to a seventeen year old kid, where’s the justice in that? Long while later she still believed that he will wake up and look at her with those beautiful sapphire blue eyes. She misses his smirk, she misses his lame attempts to get her attention, and she misses his perverted mind…
He was the most visited patient in the hospital but as the months gone by no one took time to check on him. Lexi was the only one left by his side, she and her faith that he will smile again for her. Year later, it was Christmas eve and Lexi decided to stay with Emery, that way no one will be alone.
She saw a shooting star and made a wish.
It seems like wishes do come true...
